The Masked Singer Season 8 returned on Wednesday for Vegas Night, as three celebrities were unmasked and Harp kept her title of Queen of The Masked Singer after a Battle Royale against Panther. The episode picked up from last week’s cliffhanger, as Hummingbird was revealed to be NSYNC’s Chris Kirkpatrick.

Since the night’s theme was Las Vegas, past contestant Donny Osmond (aka Peacock) opened the show with a performance of “The Greatest Show” and “Viva Las Vegas” before joining the panel to guess the night’s stars.

Three Celebrities Unmasked on ‘The Masked Singer’ Vegas Night

Last week, the show left us wondering who was under the Hummingbird costume. This was the costume attached to rumors that NFL star Tom Brady was appearing on this season. However, it ended up being NSYNC star Chris Kirkpatrick.

This reveal was particularly funny, because the panel has been guessing that Kirkpatrick was under various masks for several seasons now. The same can be said for the identity under tonight’s new costume Panther.

Panther sang “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone, showing off a great voice. Later, he faced off against Harp in a Battle Royale, displaying a grittier tone on “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf. Guesses included Lamar Odom, Billy Porter, and Iman Shumpert, but it turned out to be Montell Jordan, another name that’s been dropped throughout the seasons. He ended the show by singing his famous song “This Is How We Do It.”

Wednesday’s episode also featured the new character Pi-Rat, who performed with a puppet. He sang “Crocodile Rock” by Elton John, inspiring the judges to guess he might be Terry Fator or Dana Carvey. However, only Donny Osmond correctly guessed that it was ventriloquist Jeff Dunham.

Harp Will Return for Next Week’s Show

Wednesday’s episode cleared up a few aspects of the season’s format. Harp, who was crowned Queen of The Masked Singer last week, returned to defend her crown. She delivered a powerhouse performance of “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston.

Guesses from the panel about Harp’s identity included Amber Riley, Ashanti, and Yvette Nicole Brown. However, since she wasn’t unmasked this week, we still don’t know for sure who’s under that costume.

The night ended with a Battle Royale between Harp and Panther, in which they both sang “Born to Be Wild.” The panelists praised Harp’s incredible final note. It was up to them to decide which of the two contestants to move on, and they chose to let Harp keep her title.

She’ll return again next week to take on two more new celebrities and try to keep her crown. Tune in next Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX to see what happens.
